Maxx&Unicorn Co. is dedicated to designing artful products intended for everyday use and crafted with pride in the USA. Their designs are often inspired by practicality and defined by the nature of domestically (USA) sourced materials and the process of local manufacturing that is essential to the brand.

M&U started their business back in 2007 with a single wallet design. Though it has evolved over the years, their original stitchless bi-fold wallet is still made the same way it has always been.  It starts with a single pattern piece of leather engineered with a simple fold and tab construction and is assembled by hand in their Brooklyn workshop.  All of the leather goods in the folded collection follow this same design principle.

Over the years, M&U have successfully paired their wallets with thousands of satisfied customers who appreciate the special design approach, aesthetic and the quality.

The Maxx&Unicorn brand and product offering has grown organically through the influences of creative and like-minded people, and that is one of the reasons why we were so eager to bring Maxx&Unicorn to the Australian people, and spread the quality of their brand here, down under.

FIRST IDEA

Danny P. Leather started with “Scuffgate” and a question: How can I protect my iPhone 5's black aluminum edges? Danny held off putting his in a protective case, because, well, he liked admiring the phone's unique design and didn't want to cover it up in some cheap plastic case.

So he started to brainstorm ways to fix the problem. There are two things he is never without – his iPhone and my wallet. So why not buy a wallet case that could easily accommodate both cash, credit cards and phone?

Long story short, one thing led to another and result was a decision to manufacture his own leather wallet with a built-in case for an iPhone.

A few things were clear to Danny P from the very beginning: if they want to conquer the world with a top-notch product, they must settle for nothing but the best possible materials, work with the most skilled people in the industry and produce our products where there’s a proven track record.

They finally found the perfect manufacturer in the heart of Europe - the Czech Republic. Unlike many others around the world, these guys have been working with leather for more than 100 years! We wish you could see how they work their magic.

The rest is history, and the Danny P. Leather range grew organically from there, until we at The Gentelman's Trading Company discovered the Danny P phone wallet, and decided, we must have it also!

So now, here it is for you.

Gallantoro was started by two friends in Sydney who wanted to create a brand and an online space that reflected their notions of manliness, classic and high-quality goods, and chivalry.
